Rena Sofer
Rena Sherel (born on the 2nd of December 1998), is an American actress. Her roles include daytime television and guest performances on episodic basis and television-produced movies. In 1995, Sofer received a Daytime Emmy Award for her portrayal of Lois Cerullo in the soap show General Hospital. From 2013 to 2022, she played the character of Quinn Fuller on the CBS soap production The Bold and the Beautiful.
Childhood and early life
Sofer was born in Arcadia, California, the daughter of Susan Sofer (nee Franzblau), a psychology professor, as well as Martin Sofer, an Orthodox Rabbi.
Sofer moved with her father as well as her brother David to Teaneck, New Jersey, in 1970. When Sofer was 5 years old, she was living in Western Pennsylvania. Their family lived in Ambridge Pennsylvania where their father was the director of Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She was a student at the Frisch School, a coeducational Modern Orthodox Jewish highschool in Paramus (New Jersey). Sofer grew up in North Bergen where her father was the synagogue's rabbi Temple Beth El. Sofer was a graduate of North Bergen High School and then went to Montclair State College.
Career
Television during the daytime
Lois Marie Cerullo was Lois Marie Sofer's very first appearance on General Hospital. She first appeared on television in 1993 as a manager for the band. Her first major role was Rocky McKenzie on the daytime soap series Loving (1988-91).
